During an interactive Q&A session, a fan asked if the couple was still together, prompting Serene to set the record straight. "The account that started this rumor kept posting it on different mediums even after I set them straight. You can’t believe everything you read online because how would they know," she stated on her Instagram Stories on January 29.
Brandon quickly chimed in by reposting Serene’s message, adding, "These accounts be saying anything. Clout is a helluva drug." Both Brandon, 28, and Serene, 27, refrained from naming the online source spreading the breakup gossip. Their relationship blossomed during the eighth season of Bachelor in Paradise, which aired in September 2022. From the very first day, it was evident that they were meant for each other.
The couple experienced a romantic journey throughout the season, culminating in Brandon's heartfelt proposal during the show's finale. "Serene Brook Russell, I love you. You are this ever-lasting spark that has hit me so hard," he declared, expressing his profound connection to her. Following their engagement, the couple has embraced life together, moving into a new apartment in San Diego and planning their dream wedding.
Serene and Brandon revealed they have a tentative wedding date set for 2024 but are still deciding on the details. "We want to get married in 2024, but no details yet," Serene mentioned in an interview, hinting at the excitement that lies ahead for them. They are also considering having a wedding in Mexico, although the couple is not entirely certain about the location.
Reflecting on their transition from reality TV to the real world, Serene shared, "When you get out you’re like, ‘OK, we’re in the real world now.’ But in our case, we had to stay secret for so long."
